24MAS and Indosat continue mobile advertising service for Indonesian subscribers

24MAS and Indosat, Indonesia’s second largest mobile operator, have announced the renewal of their agreement that delivers ad-funded mobile applications to the Indonesian market. The two companies shall carry on the existing business model for generating new advertising revenue based on mobile application distribution.

“We are very pleased that Indosat has expressed continued confidence in this partnership. Research forecasts Indonesia’s mobile market to grow to 240 million subscribers by 2014 and our extended agreement positions both our companies on firm ground to be able to exploit opportunities in this thriving user base,” explains Mikael Norberg, 24MAS’s Managing Director for Asia Pacific.

In 2010, 24MAS established a successful application-based mobile advertising channel for Indosat, the first mobile operator in the country to launch such a service. The extended mobile advertising channel will allow the Sweden-based company to offer its expanded portfolio to Indosat’s over 40 million subscribers.

By capitalizing on its large reach, innovative ad formats and user engagement from the applications, 24MAS has developed campaign strategies with Indosat for well-known brands such as BlackBerry, Samsung, and Procter & Gamble.
